Elisa Cardenas is currently an Informatics Sales Specialist with Siemens Healthineers, a leading medical technology company with over 170 years of experience in the global diagnostics market.  Elisa attended South Plains College as a pre-medical technology major.  In the Fall of 2005, she transferred to Texas Tech Health Sciencess Center and was accepted into the Clinical Laboratory Science program.  She graduated and then continued her education at TTUHSC, enrolling in the Master of Science in Molecular Pathology program and graduated in 2008.  Her work experience includes employment as a clinical laboratory scientist, laboratory management at a local cancer center, and diagnostic laboratory field sales.  She began working for a large global laboratory diagnostic vendor as a Reagent Sales Specialist and in 2016 was recognized as the #1 Reagent Sales Specialist in North America.  Elisa comments “My journey began at SPC and I’m grateful for the time I spent there!”
