I am retired from the Lubbock Police Department and working a second career at University Medical Center in Lubbock. I have a Bachelors degree from Wayland Baptist, a Masters degree from Troy University, and have finished all of my courses at SPC to graduate with an AA degree in May.

I majored in Foreign Language (Spanish). I was a non-traditional student. I already had a bachelors degree, but I wanted to learn Spanish for my work & personal life.

I chose SPC for the lower tuition rates, ease of access, & because Dr. Knotts encouraged me to enroll at SPC. I knew that the Spanish classes would be quality because I knew the dedication that Dr. Knotts has to her students.

My favorite memory of taking classes at SPC is taking a Spanish class with my daughter.

I am the Director of Security for UMC Health System in Lubbock.

My advice to anyone considering starting their education at SPC or continuing their education at SPC is to enroll. They won’t regret it.
