This certificate program is for individuals whoFiremen are Texas Commission on Fire protection (TCFP) certified and hold certification as Structural, Aircraft Rescue or Marine Fire Protection personnel. Individuals must complete all course work for this certificate before applying for the examination if they are testing for Fire Officer II. Individuals testing for Fire Officer I do not need to take FIRT 1349 Fire Administration II before testing, but must complete Fire Administration II prior to earning this certificate of proficiency.

This is a TASP-waived certificate, Students declaring this major are not subject to the TASP regulations unless they enroll in a course outside the prescribed curriculum.
