INTERNET CERTIFICATE
Offered at the Levelland Campus and Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center. This one-year curriculum in Internet Certification is designed to train students to use current software and technology to develop Internet web sites and support electronic commerce. Prerequisite to enrollment in certificate: COSC 1401/ITSC 1401 and ITSE 1329 or consent of program advisor. Students who satisfactorily complete the curriculum will receive a Certificate of Proficiency. Students working toward this certificate must complete courses with a grade of "C" or better. Program advisor on the Levelland Campus and the SPC Reese Center is Bette Pitts, Chairperson of the Business/CIS departments. Program advisor at the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center in Lubbock is Bob Haynes, Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems. This is a TASP-waived certificate. Students declaring this major are not subject to the TASP regulations unless they enroll in a course outside the prescribed curriculum. CERTIFICATE OF PROFICIENCY
* Although not a requirement for this degree, students are strongly encouraged to take ORNT 0110 during the first semester of enrollment. |
